The Croatian Centre for the Renewal of Culture (COK) wishes you a Happy and Blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year in 2024!

In memory of what was endured under Communist Yugoslavia, and acknowledgment of what is still experienced by Christians in many parts of the world, we include with these Christmas greetings an extract from a letter written by Blessed Cardinal Archbishop Alojzije Stepinac on 16 January 1960, shortly before his death:

“The hatred of the persecutor seethes around me still, in the hope that he will finally break my nerve. God, however, is stronger. In Him I have always placed my hope and I have never been deceived. Nor will I be deceived in the future. Better to die honourably that to live shamefully as a traitor to the Church.”
