On this date, we remember the first democratically elected multi-party Parliament on 30 May 1990. It was the first formal step in Croatia’s return to where it belongs: to the European civilisational, political, cultural and economic tradition.
A large part of our work has involved educating a young generation of Croatian leaders who must face the national and international challenges of the future. Just as the establishment of the first democratically elected multi-party Parliament was preceded by decades of cultural efforts of the Croatian people, so too the Centre for the Renewal of Culture (COK) works on the cultural renewal of our people so that we are ready for future challenges.
We wish a proud and joyful Statehood Day to all Croatians!
